WHY ACUPUNCTURE
Acupuncture is safe and does not conflict with other medical practices. In fact, it often enhances the benefits of other healthcare treatments like physiotherapy, massage, chiropractic, and psychology. It is also effective in treating adverse side effects from cancer treatment therapies, addiction recovery and hormonal therapies.
Safety. You're in good hands.
Acupuncture institutions across Canada require a minimum of 450-500 patient contact hours with an emphasis on needling and patient safety as part of their +1900 hours of educational training (this is the equivalent to a minimum of 3 years of education and training). In addition to Chinese Medicine theory, curriculum includes extensive study of human anatomy and training in clean needle technique.
In accordance with professional and ethical guidelines, acupuncturists use pre-sterilized, disposable, single-use needles to ensure your complete safety.
As regulated health professionals, registered acupuncturists are required to maintain and advance their knowledge, skills, and training through continuing education programs each year.
Jacqueline is registered and in good standing with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of British Columbia (CTCMA).
